Neatness and Creativity count!

Your project should be hand written and hand illustrated (except for your personal photos from the field trip)

Your project will be 10 pages:
page one- cover with your name, date, class and title of project " Plant Classification" . I would love to see a picture of you or your peers from the field trip on the cover!
page two- Moss with picture, characteristics and official classification from Domain down to species.
page three- Life cycle of moss- hand illustrated and labeled.

page four- Fern with picture, characteristics and official classification from Domain down to species.
page five- Life cycle of Ferns- hand illustrated and labeled.

page six- Gymnosperm with picture, characteristics and official classification from Domain down to species.
page seven- Life cycle of Gymnosperm- hand illustrated and labeled.

page eight- Angiosperm with picture, characteristics and official classification from Domain down to species.
page nine- Life cycle of Angiosperms- hand illustrated and labeled.
page ten- pictures of the other leaves that you took- you can put all 10 pictures or just 6 if you find that some are too similar.

Characteristics should include:
*description of the habitat where it is found along with an explanation of why it is found in that specific type of habitat (if relevant for the phyla).
*whether or not the plant is vascular or non- vascular and what that entails.
*One special note or piece of information that is unique to that phyla. For example; moss only obtain water through osmosis.  Check your notes for this information.

Don't forget; the classification should follow: Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, species and they should all be in Latin. The final species name should follow bi-nomial nomenclature and have a Genus and species term!

   Felicitas my fellow Homo sapiens!
