Next week we will begin selling the re-usable water bottles we talked about.
I thought this was interesting so I'm sharing it with you:
http://www.banthebottle.net/articles/plastic-water-bottles-impose-health-and-environmental-risks/
"Despite recycling infrastructure that exists in order to facilitate the recycling of these bottles, according to the Container Recycling Institute, 86% of plastic water bottles used in the US become garbage that ends up in landfills throughout the country. Considering that approximately 60 million plastic water bottles are used every day in the US, we can assume that nearly 18,834,000,000 end up in the landfill each year. Each bottle can take up to 700 years to decompose."
If enough students purchase them we may have enough money left over to do this:

the TED talk by the guy who made it!!

We may even have enough left to add bench or bird bath to the garden area we'll be completing next week.
If you have access to some good, weed free dirt, please bring it in next week- we need a lot to fill those garden beds outside of our class room.
Have a great weekend!
